Postdoc: Computational Analysis of Genome Rearrangement
University of South Florida (USF), joint with Princeton University
Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in
the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at USF with focus on
mathematical models and computational studies of DNA recombination,
rearrangement, epigenetics, and non-coding RNA. This position will
hold a joint appointment in the Department of Ecology &
Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University.
Professors Natasha Jonoska, Laura Landweber and Masahico Saito
seek a joint postdoctoral research associate to model and analyze
scrambled gene and genome rearrangements, using and developing novel
computational and bioinformatic research tools.
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in mathematical
sciences/computational biology or a relevant field; strong training,
research experience, and publications from the Ph.D.; ability to work
independently and creatively, and strong written/oral communication
skills are necessary.
The candidate is expected to spend time at both institutions, with a schedule to be worked out with the faculty.
