M. Fitch Symposium
(Society
for Molecular Biology and Evolution)
This symposium provides a forum for young investigators. A committee will select
eight speakers from among submitted abstracts (those who have chosen to compete),
and each will be awarded partial travel support from SMBE. Following the symposium,
one speaker will be awarded the Walter M. Fitch Prize. The Fitch Prize will
be announced at the beginning of the SMBE Nei Lecture. Only members of the
SMBE who are either current graduate students or postdoctoral researchers and
who have received the primary doctoral-level degree no earlier than June 1,
2003, are eligible. Memberships that include or exclude a subscription to the
Journal are available. New memberships and subscriptions, beginning in 2004,
may be made online at http://www.mbe.oupjournals.org.
