SMBE is excited to seek proposals from Europe to host SMBE 2026 as a hybrid meeting. SMBE rotates our meetings geographically to encourage international participation. Our next meetings will be in Mexico (2024) and China (2025). 

Informal expressions of interest should be from a prospective Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of scientists headed by an SMBE member, and should reach SMBE President-Elect Stephen Wright by 15 January 2014. Full proposals will need to be submitted using the SMBE template (see below) by 1 March 2024.

The primary role of the Local Organizing Committee will be to plan the scientific programme, identify a venue and to select and coordinate logistics alongside a local Professional Conference Organiser (PCO). 

Please note that SMBE is not interested in, and will not respond to, proposals from professional conference organizers.
