Bio: Dr. Paez is the Program Director and a Senior Research Associate in the Jarvis laboratory and co-Chair of the Earth Biogenome Project Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. As a biomechanist, physical therapist, and public health practitioner, she has expertise in clinical and translational research in health promotion and disease prevention across the life spectrum.

Bio: Dr. Mapholi is a professor of Biology, and the chair of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2023 International Society of Animal Genetics Conference, which is to be held in South Africa. Co-chairs of African BioGenome Project (AfricaBP). Previously chaired the Livestock Genomics for Developing Countries Committee of the International Society of Animal Genetics (ISAG) for eight years.
